A what?

Searching for “Clocks” and “Time Credits” might sound like an episode of Dr. Who and the Time Lords but it’s actually all about traffic generation right now. Ok, I wanted to take a minute to review a new traffic exchange program that just launched about a month ago. It’s called Traffic Era . It’s been a pretty long time since I used traffic exchanges with the exception of TrafficSwarm but in my early days of online promotion I used to use them heavily with much success. I find that the quality of traffic that you get from them is not what it used to be but if you use them right you can still do a decent job of branding yourself online.

Traffic Era throws a whole new twist to the traffic exchange world by adding in a social networking aspect to it. Not only can you do the normal things like build credits to get your page viewed, but you can join discussion groups, teams, and do a whole lot of networking with other like minded marketers. The right way to use a site like this in my opinion is to use it to brand yourself online. Don’t follow the crowd and promote your company affiliate link because trust me it doesn’t work!

All in all, Traffic Era seems to have a lot of potential because it’s not just a traffic exchange but also a networking site for marketers. I for one will see how it goes over time and add it to my arsenal of strategies to “brand” myself online.
